The process of getting implants requires a number of visits spread over several months. The first visit involves evaluating the space and bone available for the implant. X-rays and impressions of your mouth are taken of the jaw and teeth to determine bone, gum tissue, and spacing available for an implant. If there is questionable remaining bone quantity, a 3D scan is taken to more accurately evaluate the recipient site. The implant will be surgically placed into the jawbone and allowed to heal for 3 months. Once the implant has healed and has fused with the bone, a beautiful, natural looking crown will be attached on top of the implant.

You will receive instructions for care when your treatment is completed. Good oral hygiene, eating habits, and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new implant.
